About Proxify

Proxify is a global network of vetted remote software, data and AI professionals. We help companies scale their tech teams with world-class talent, typically delivering the right match within two days.

Only about 1% of the 20,000+ people who apply each month make it into the network. Clients get speed, quality and flexibility, with real technical experts guiding every step, and none of the admin burden or risk of traditional hiring.

About the role

Do you speak fluent data, from pipelines and warehouses to dashboards and models, and love the idea of turning that knowledge into the perfect team for a client? This is your chance to be the technical expert behind every data match we make.

As a Client Engineer (Data), you'll be part of our client teams. You'll be the technical voice in front of clients and the person who decides which data professionals are right for them.

Technical discovery: Run discovery calls with clients to understand their data landscape: stack, architecture, data maturity, team setup and business goals. Turn what you learn into a sharp role profile with the right skills, seniority and scope.

Matching: Search and shortlist Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists and ML Engineers from the Proxify network. Interview them to assess technical depth and fit with the client's context.

Candidate presentation: Write clear, convincing pitches that explain why each candidate fits, and support the client through interviews and decisions.

Client advisory: Act as a trusted technical advisor. Challenge requirements when needed, and help clients shape roles that will actually solve their data problems.

Collaboration: Work closely with Client Managers and Account Managers to meet client needs, keep timelines tight and grow long-term partnerships.

Client focus: Startups, scaleups and enterprise companies building or scaling their data, analytics and AI capabilities.

Why it may not be your match

❌ You prefer to stay heads-down in code. This role is about people and judgment as much as technology, and you'll be talking to clients and candidates every day.

❌ You like every day to look the same. We build as we go and keep things agile.

❌ You haven't worked hands-on with data yourself. You'll be assessing experienced data professionals, so you need to have been in their shoes.
